Japanese Egg Tofu with Bean Sprout |
One of simple Egg Tofu recipe is Japanese Egg Tofu with Bean Sprout. It is fast-fried dish, very easy to make and off course, delicious. It only use simple ingredients such as Bean Sprout, Shallots or Onion, Red Pepper and Japanese Egg Tofu. If you like, you can add Tomato for a bit of sour taste.
Egg Tofu Recipe:
- 1 Japanese Egg Tofu, slice 1 cm each and fry (fried egg tofu)
- Fresh Bean Sprout
- 1 Chopped Onion
- 1 Red Pepper
- Green onions
- salt and pepper
- half of 1 Tomato, diced
- 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce (Optional)
- Fast fry the chopped onion with 1-2 tbsp canola oil until you smell the aroma
- put Red Pepper and Tomato
- put the fresh Bean Sprout, stir them evenly
- turn off the stove and put the fried Japanese Egg Tofu
Tips to cook Japanese Egg Tofu
- Do not over-cook the Bean Sprout. Once you put them, turn off the stove immediately.
- The fried Egg Tofu must be put at the last turn, and be careful with them, because they are so soft and easily broken. After that, close the pan's lid and turn off the stove. Putting the lid will make the Bean Sprout cooked/steamed.
- You may add Oyster Sauce (if you like) for additional taste.
