Hand Pies Chicken |
I like snacking. And this Chicken pie is perfect for afternoon snack. I filled the pies with chicken, Cheese and Prosciutto. I did not make the wrap/pastries but using butter pastry or puff pastry in grocery store. This Chicken Pie is easy to make and not time-consuming. And the taste is delicious, for sure. Let's make it!
Hand Pie Recipe:
- 1 pack of butter pastry or puff pastry
- 300 gr of ground chicken
- salt and pepper
- 2 slices of white bread (soaked it with milk until wet and crumbling)
- 1 tsp of ground nutmeg
- 1 tbsp of soy sauce
- 1 egg for the filling
- 1 egg yolk for coating/egg wash
- 4 slices of cheese (can be cheddar or mozzarella), divided the cheese into 9 pieces
- 4 pieces of Prosciutto ( or your favorite like ham, etc), divided the Prosciutto into 9 pieces

- Tow the butter pastry (if it's still frozen) based on the direction of the packaging
- I used big butter pastry and I divided the pastry into 9 squares. That's why you have to divide the cheese and prosciutto into 9 portions as well :)
- Mix all ingredients and fill in the pastry, "glue" the pastry with fork or press with your finger.
- Coat the hand pies with Egg wash.
- Bake the hand pies as directed in the pastry's packaging. I used to bake the pastry at 350F for 25 minutes.
